We were stopping in Rouen en route to Etretat, so we didn’t allot too much time to tour around. Of course Jay wants to see everything, but we still managed to miss where Joan of Arc was burnt. The famous church captured by Monet in his Rouen light series was under construction, but we did enjoy some great baguette, striped buildings and the, um, parking garage. It’s a quaint little ville, bustling with industrial activity and host to a number of great restaurants, but I wouldn’t recommend it for any longer than a one-day trip.
Let’s just say that we got to spend a lot of time to appreciate the beauty and mystery of this underground parking garage.
