I had so many great photos of the Monet gardens, so I decided to write a second post. Taking photos was not permitted inside Monet’s house (above) but you can see many people standing in the upstairs’ window photographing the amazing view he had from his bedroom. When you enter the house, directly to the left at the end of a corridor sits the salon. The impact of this salon is tremendous–one artist’s work so tightly displayed, each elegantly framed marking his journey, exploration and obsessions. One particular painting ignited excitement in us all: an image of Etretat, the next stop on our Normandy tour.
We visited the Orangerie Monet designed (Tuilleries gardens, Paris) where the famous Water Lily paintings are displayed.
